Your backups

The app reads folders you choose and sends encrypted backups to the destination you select. If you use a server or cloud provider, that provider handles the data you choose to store there under its own terms and privacy policy.

Passwords and settings

Backup settings are stored on your Mac. Repository passwords and supported storage credentials can be stored in macOS Keychain. Parotid does not operate a backup storage service or collect your backup contents.
